The Olympic Peninsula Paddlers (OPP) is a volunteer-based recreational kayak club, by sea kayakers, for sea kayakers. We are a diverse group, with a passion for kayaking. We paddle primarily in the Pacific Northwest, one of the richest and most diverse marine environments in the world. Our area provides us with unique opportunities to observe and paddle in the presence of an abundance of marine wildlife.
The low-impact, human-powered sea kayak is the perfect vessel to explore and learn about our aquatic environment. We support the conservation, sound management, and enjoyment of our river and ocean environments through stewardship, advocacy, education, and personal ethics. Our goal is to introduce members to our local waters, while providing opportunities to improve their paddling skills, and promoting a culture of safety.
We hold monthly OPP club meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, September through June, except December, when we have our annual club Christmas party. Our meetings provide members with an opportunity to socialize, share stories, and learn something new about special topics of interest to sea kayakers.
